Hi Resident, Please aware that at least two businesses in the town centre have had counterfeit £10.00 and £20.00 notes passed to them. Please make sure you check any notes you take, particularly in busy periods. If you have receive any counterfeit currency and the suspect is still present or the transaction just occurred, call 999 immediately with the location, vehicle/suspect details, and note denominations. If you found the note later (such as during cashing up), report it via 101, or online at www.gmp.police.uk For more information, click How to check your banknotes | Bank of England – the UK's central bank Regards, The Hyde Godley Team
